Time Flies Like An Owl

Thursday, February 28th, 2008 at 12:58 am

It’s almost March, already. Can you believe it??

In a recent conversation, I had convinced someone to think that they had misheard me when I had said that Time Flies Like An Owl.

While in a meditative state. I began to think about that phrase and found that there is some truth to it.

Time really does fly like an owl. We, like its prey, fall victim to it.
As it (time (or the owl) glides silently through the air and swoops down upon us, we do not realize. For when we do, at least for most of us, it is already to late.

BWD Back!

Thursday, August 30th, 2007 at 4:24 pm

Cross posted at our news blog:

We’re finally back after some God-awful downtime within the past few days due to some ridiculous name server issues with a new domain company. The lesson? Never switch away from companies that may charge a bit more, but are simply the best and most professional around.

Thank you for your patience!

Major DNS Issues

Wednesday, August 29th, 2007 at 1:09 pm

As a side note for those of you that may follow my design company Blog What? Design, we are having major DNS issues with our new registrar. It’s a mess. So basically, it may be 36 hours before I get things worked out.

(P.S. Remind me never to go with a MASSIVE hosting/domain company again. And shout out to hostingmatters.com for the most amazing hosting EVER!)

I realize it has been some time since my last entry.

I assure you, I have not forgotten.

I’ve been indisposed. Away.

Not to think or to come up with fresh ideas,

But to clear the mind and rid it of old ones.

As a reader or an aspiring writer, you might be curious to know

how one goes about blogging. It’s not easy. Not at first.

As time goes on, you get the hang of it, but never at all with ease.

Writing is an art. Like all true art, it cannot be devised or thought out.

It comes from within. What words your minds spit out, that is it.

Regardless of whether or not it makes sense. Look at the title of this entry.

Do you honestly think that makes sense? Give it a closer look and you’ll find

wisdom among fools.

My Super Cool Roommate

Wednesday, July 25th, 2007 at 12:36 pm

Earlier this year in April, right after I was accepted to Barnard, I met up with Lindsey at the accepted students weekend there. We had a blast together, and found out that we both:

  • Don’t see the logic in keeping an ultra-neat room.
  • Enjoy performing (her: theater/Broadway, me: dance!)
  • Are certainly outgoing and love the city (NYC) and all it has to offer.

So voila! A roommate match was born. We’ve been keeping in touch during the summer (of course we planned our room theme thank you) and we’ve both been keeping busy.

With the help of her boyfriend’s father, Lindsey and Alex both work at Playbill. But… this is no ordinary desk job! I present to you: Playbill: Video. The fantastic duo does a great job reporting on a variety of theatrical events along with their friend Noah. Check out their feature on Shakespeare in the Park and all of their extremely professional features. (They’re naturals.)

Greetings from Mars

Well, with two-thirds of us here at workshop, not much blogging has been done. Whoops!

Anyways, it’s been running at 96 degrees Fahrenheit here for the last two days - and of course there’s no air-conditioning silly! This is Ukrainian dance workshop! (By the way - we’ll be performing for about 4-5,000 people at this weekend’s massive festival. Just think of Woodstock for Ukrainian-Americans.)

Anyways, we’re all having boat-loads of fun waking up at 9am for a three and a half hour ballet class (yes, the boys take ballet) and then dancing (in total) for about 10 hours a day. Yay!

To keep you up on the latest absurdities in the world, I’ll be posting some random amusing stories here. Read away:
