Pirates of the Carribean #3

Monday, May 14th, 2007 at 12:03 pm

So how do you all think it will pan out? I’m really looking forward to a hit ending, but you know how sequels work. I just hope that the final Pirates movie (At World’s End) isn’t like that. Johnny and Orlando are too good looking for that to happen.

I guess we’ll just have to wait ’till the 25th of May then!

Can you eat the t-shirt?

Saturday, May 12th, 2007 at 12:10 pm

alabamatee.jpgSo I stopped by The Pop!Tech Blog and found this bit: Organic Tee Shirt to support Architecture for Humanity.

Now I ask you. How does one create an organic t-shirt? Cotton sure… but doesn’t that go through… mechanical things? Therefore making the sense that it is “organic” null and void? (I like using that phrase. Null AND void.)

I guess they must be organic because they’re $75 A PIECE! Albeit (that’s another good one too) they’re for a good cause (100% of the proceeds are going to Katrina charity)… but when was the last time you paid $75 for something like that? Oh right, that certified organic fruit basket you picked up at Trader Joe’s last week. Tool.

The creator says this t-shirt is for “eco-warriors, hipsters and all round nice folk.” I’m neither of those three. Maybe.

And as this post title begs… can you eat the t-shirt?

For Harry Potter Fans (and Haters)

Dear Mustard readers,

I’m truly sorry for the overload of videos… However, I feel that it is very important (a matter of life and death) that I post this video at once.

Thank God for the glory that is YouTube and the time we may waste on it.

Best,
Lara

Im German but i hate Hitler and racsim!!!! I hope so shit never comes back to germany but bush is the return of Hitler!!!!!!!

Yes young Muschimattes… Bush has indeed killed millions and has taken over an entire government seemingly single-handedly. He’s invaded Russia, and made friends with Mussolini. I certainly see the resemblance.

Either way, this is a terribly funny video. Thank you The Whitest Kids.

Are you famousrrrr?

Monday, April 23rd, 2007 at 10:51 pm

A new concept has been born. The website “Famousr” features simple game of wit… a binary battle, if you will.

Well. It’s really not that complicated. All you have to do is pick which celebrity is FAMOUSR! Who knew Reese Witherspoo was famousr than Jenna Jameson?

Famousr also features a “Who Is ‘That Guy’?” section. Put a name on your favorite d-list celebrity - “that guy” you just can’t seem to remember.

Microwavable cake is good

Thursday, April 19th, 2007 at 10:12 am

warmdelights1.jpgLet it be known that this is my official review of Betty Crocker’s “Warm Delights” microwavable cake.

I had the fortunate opportunity to sample “Hot Fudge Brownie.” This is just one of the seven irresistible varieties which include:

  • Hot Fudge Brownie
  • Molten Chocolate Cake
  • Molten Caramel Cake
  • Peanut Butter Fudge Brownie
  • Fudgy Chocolate Chip Cookie
  • Cinnamon Swirl Cake
  • Lemon Swirl Cake

Now, I’m sure you’re saying, “Microwavable fudge brownie cake!? No way!” But let me assure you, making cake is now easier that cooking up some Easy-Mac. Cut open the little packet of flour mix, add one tablespoon and one teaspoon of water, microwave on high for forty-five seconds, and you’re set! Squeeze on the provided fudge icing and watch it melt. Why bother cooking anything the real way now?

Psuedo Silence at MHS

Wednesday, April 18th, 2007 at 5:21 pm

As a Senior, I currently attend M. High School. Today the nation-wide event “Day of Silence” took place across high school and college campuses every where. To preface this article, I want to make it clear that I do not have qualms with gays or anything of that sort. I respect all human beings that walk this earth.

In response to this event, I had previously voiced my disagreement by creating a Facebook group here (entitled “There are more things to go silent an entire day for…”) and had all along decided to respectfully observe the day as it happened. Last night, my sister and I also decided to cut around 80 orange “remembrance” ribbons for the murder-victims of Virginia-Tech with small safety-pins to hand out to any student who wanted to wear one.

This morning, the Gay-Straight alliance club and their supporters almost gleefully took to the high school hallways with their outfits doused in black and attached pink 6×4 index cards with a folded ribbon detailing their mission. Read the rest of this entry »
